Bible study? Why?!
The Bible is the central text of western civilization and it is foundational to the story of the United States of America. Its impact and influence can be seen all around us and throughout our history. And its influence affects us even when we are unaware.
Some of the most iconic historical events in the history of our nation refer directly to the sacred text. One example is The Liberty Bell, symbol of American independence and courage, bears a passage of scripture from Leviticus 25:10: “Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.” Another of a multitude of examples is the famous speech "We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream." That is a quote from the book of Amos 5:24.
A survey of human history will easily reveal the power of the Word of God to shape culture and entire civilizations. That same Bible is also powerful, effective and good when it's principles are applied in a personal way, and it is as relevant today as it has always been.
The Problem:
When God first created man, the conditions were ideal. But since the time when Adam failed to obey God's command, humanity has been estranged from personal closeness to our Creator
Unless each of us makes a conscious decision to yield to God and pattern our life to his design, we are destined to live not only this life on earth, but the whole of eternity apart from Him.
The Solution:
There is one way to remedy our situation. Faith in Jesus Christ and trust in his incredible sacrifice to spill his own blood and endure unspeakable shame and suffering in order to satisfy mine and your debt.
The study of the Bible gives each of us a way directly into God's heart. The things that He has chosen to reveal to us are there for us to know and consider, and there we find our way back home to our Father in heaven. Forever.

It is the very Word of God, and it is right there, available for you to discover. Please don't put it off. Come and see how good God is, and how Holy.
Bible Study options at Orange Coast Community Church
Wednesday Night at 7 p.m.
We have a short time of worship followed by in-depth teaching of God's word. However, on Wednesday there is a time for people to ask the pastor any questions they may have on the word of God. They can also interrupt the teaching time to ask a related question.
Friday Night at 6:30 p.m.
Anchored In Hope Life Group, where we come together strengthen each other by confronting the things that have wounded us and recognizing the limitless resources available for our healing.
Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
We are studying the life of King David. The man after God's own heart. There are so many lessons and we'd love to have you come along on this journey.
