The Elders of Orange Coast Community Church
The elders' function is one of oversight and government of the church body. They have been chosen as elders because they have demonstrated godliness and a desire to collaborate in the well-being of the congregation. The elders of Orange Coast Community Church actively seek God in petition for each member of the flock as well as the pastors. They are called upon to make financial and organizational decisions and also to intervene as appropriate if there is any impropriety or unacceptable behavior or actions by anyone who is part of the church.
Rene Figuroa
Elder since 2000
Rene is a an honest up front kind of man. He shows a genuine love and concern for the people of the congregation. Rene is interested in the spiritual growth of the believers in our church family and he is a man who will always tell you the absolute truth. He is often seen giving his time to help people in whatever they need.
Rocco Pugliese
Elder since 2021
Rocco Pugliese has been active in Orange Coast for the past twenty years nine years. He loves to sing on the worship team and he enjoys studying and teaching the word of God. Rocco often visits and prepares meals for those in our church family who are hurting and experiencing a loss in life. He has a loving, warm personality.
Dave Tursini
Elder since 2000
Dave is yet another pillar of our flock. His no-nonsense approach to problem-solving has been a welcome and needed contribution to our church government. Dave is wholeheartedly committed to Jesus and to His cause, and he demonstrates it by serving as both an assistant pastor, an elder and a Sunday school teacher.
Rick Rzeszewski
Elder since 2000
Rick is the senior pastor of Orange Coast Community Church, but he also serves as an elder. His commitment to this congregation is evident as he gives of his time, above and beyond his pastoral duties to collaborate with the elders in providing leadership and stability to our church.
Rick Nabers
Elder since 2021
Rick Nabers gave his life to Christ back in 1968. He served with Pastor Chuck Smith during the formative years of the founding of Calvary Chapel. Rick has attended our church for more than twenty years. He loves to study God’s word and teach the insights he has learned. He has a loving heart for all people and he enjoys caring for God’s children.
Rick Rzeszewski
Elder since 2000
Mel Jackman has faithfully attended our church for a number of years. He is a true student of God's word and he has been teaching a weekly bible study for quite some time now. Mel knows how to come alongside those who are struggling to offer insight, support and encouragement. Mel has a servant's heart. He is a welcome addition to our Elder board
