Orange Coast Community Church Prayer Ministry
I have been coming to Orange Coast Community Church since about 2005. My husband Carl and I started coming when the church was still at the other building.
Around 2015 I asked if I could join the prayer team. Then I invited a few others to come and we have a strong prayer team. Anyone who would like to come join us in prayer we would just love it. We like to meet right after the service in the room right next to the Music Ministry office.
We meet and pray for the church and we go over the prayer requests and pray for those. Anyone can submit a prayer request to us. Just fill out the little orange cards that are stocked in the back of the seats and drop hem into the offering pouch. They will give those to us and we pray for each of them.
Please rest assured that we hold your prayer requests in the strictest confidence. It's very private and we would never comment on those outside of our prayer meetings.
The orange cards have a spot for your name and we do like it if you tell us who you are so we can pray for you specifically, but if you are asking us to pray for something that causes you embarrassment, and you don't want to put your name on the card, that's okay. We understand and we will certainly pray for you and your needs. The Lord knows who the card is from so there is no worry there.
I talk to the Lord all day now that Carl is gone. I tell Him what I think or what I need. I thank Him all day long. He takes such good care of me, I feel spoiled.
Prayer doesn't have to be intimidating or complicated. It's just like talking to your husband or a good friend. You just talk with Him, and you might as well be open and honest because He already knows! He knows our heart. Sometimes, I just don't have the words to say what I am thinking or what I'm feeling, but I don't worry too much about it, because I know that He knows.
